In case of error...
I have been coaching a few Clients to make 5 calls each day to their referral sources, past Clients and people in their Spheres of Influence. Everyone doing it is finding both a lot of success in business generated and a real boost in attitude.
Then there are the days when they don’t get to it… or skip it. This is my e-mail to one of them.
Keep up the habit every day.
Now what does every day mean. It means that you plan to do it every day and that if you slip you use my four step system for getting back on track.
Acknowledge the error. (Oh *@#*, I didn’t make my calls today.)
Forgive yourself (or others if that is appropriate)
Re-Commit to the action (if you choose to do so)
Get back into action, any productive action, immediately. Including exercise or other non business activity that makes you pleased and proud. If possible take the action for which you erred.
It is not surprising it makes you feel good immediately. It is so much the right thing to do and it is so obvious that it will generate you more business.
This is the Agent’s version of an apple a day only instead of keeping the doctor away it keeps the coffers full.
