I Love Competition
Wimbledon was recently on. Chava and I both attended and watched the coverage of the LPGA Rochester tournament. The NBA championships were on before that. I love to feel the sense of anxiety, the disappointment, the exhilaration of those athletes. I love to feel the ebb and flow of the momentum.
Chava can’t understand why I like to watch early rounds of players who won’t make a difference in the outcome of the tournament. I like anytime when two people or teams are in that wonderful battle for dominance. Even when a player knows they will not win they still play like they are going to win.
I learn a lot from it. You learn to dig deep when the going gets tough. Find that will to win. Turn it into focus and effort. It is a learned skill. At first you don’t know how to handle the rush of emotion of being ahead or behind. Then you learn that you can shift the energy, the adrenaline of winning or losing. You shift it to focus and guide it to your effort. This is a skill that top Agents have mastered and continue to develop.
