Act 1: Changing Goals
I pity the fool. That’s what Mr. T from the A Team used to say. It came to mind because I pity the fool who is so committed to their goals that those goals become meaningless.
About this time each year it is important to review the goals you set earlier in the year. I set three month goals and one of my goals was to generate six figures in Internet sales of our products by September tenth. We may be able to do that. I am not abandoning those goals but we have hit some glitches. Even though you follow the spam laws you can get shut out of specific Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) if you are sending to large groups and have too many people dump your e-mails into spam. So we have to shift our tactics and reevaluate our goals and decide whether to change them.
For sure we will add to them because I am going to actively put myself back out on speaking tours. Oh hey, by the way, I’ll be presenting at the Tri-State Convention in Atlantic City in December so those of you in the Northeast consider coming to that convention and seeing me. I also recently found out that I will be presenting two topics at the NAR convention in November so come up and say hello.
Back to goals, look at the goals you set earlier in the year recommit or reevaluate. Then look at the plans you made to accomplish them. Consider the effectiveness of your tactics. What should you keep up? What should you change?
