Happy New Year and some thoughts....
As 2006 came to a close in many, perhaps most markets around the country it got more difficult to sell Real Estate. We moved from a seller’s to a buyer’s market. Without going into the details, suffice it to say that Agents had to work harder, spend more of their own money, lose more transactions, you know. You were doing all of this.
Here’s the good news. Those of you who are sticking around are likely to win big, if not now in the medium and long run. After twenty seven years at this I can see that continuous and significant success in this business takes hard work and intelligence. Continuous and significant success selling residential Real Estate takes investment of time, money, and energy.
Continuous and significant success requires staying power.
All those quotes that football coaches use apply to those of you who are going do better than survive a softer market. You will succeed through it.
Those who know this about themselves will identify with the following.
Those that are not sure will be inspired by the following.
Those that read the following as motivational drivel will be out of the business in the next year.
Here’s to success and all we bring to it!
“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.”
“Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.”
“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”
“Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything.”
“Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later the man who wins, is the man who thinks he can.”
These are all from Vince Lombardi – Coach of the first two Superbowl Champion Green Bay Packers before it was even called the Super Bowl. In his time it was called the World Championship Game.

Thanks. We all need to hear this stuff once in a while. Great blog.
